Before you give.

Yes. Gulbahar NGO is registered under sections 61 and 62 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 (NTN 4850123-6). Every donation receives a computerised receipt, and annual donations above PKR 200,000 receive a formal exemption certificate within 48 hours of the payment clearing.

Zakat is ring-fenced in a separate ledger, never mixed with general funds, and disbursed within the lunar year to the eight Quran-recognised categories — prioritising the poor (fakir), debtors and those in need of i'tisaaf (zakat administrators' funds). Our Shariah adviser reviews disbursement quarterly, and zakat donors receive a dedicated statement.

Absolutely — select your program in the donation form above. If a program is fully funded for the quarter, we contact you before redirecting the gift. Restricted gifts that cannot be used for their stated purpose are refunded, not repurposed.

One day a month for three months for field roles, so you become useful rather than transient. Skilled pro-bono commitments are scoped individually. All volunteers complete a safeguarding briefing and sign our code of conduct; under-18s volunteer with a guardian on family-friendly days.

No. We do not do doorstep collection or telephonic fundraising. All giving happens through this website, bank transfer, wallet transfer or by cheque at our offices. If someone claims to collect on our behalf, please report it to report@gulbaharngo.org.pk.

Monthly sponsorship is PKR 9,500 and covers school fees, supplies, an annual health check and nutrition support. Children's identities are protected under our child-safeguarding policy — you receive progress reports, not personal identifiers.
